Yesterday Lin stopped by with a bright bouquet of flowers. There is no place in this house that looks good enough to photograph them so I took them outside:

I'm getting a few things closer to completion - it's getting exciting to think I will soon have some finished pieces of jewelry. This time alone has been good for me to get focused on my work. I watched the movie "Dad" last night with Ted Danson, Jack Lemmon and Olympia Dukakis. It was really good. There were a few moments of sap but only a few. I like moments in movies where tears come to my eyes - or I even cry but I don't like "sappy" things. I hate those email forwards that people send that are supposed to make you feel sentimental. Dave will be back tonight - looking forward to having him home again. The door knob on the front door is broken - can't go in or out. It will be nice to have him fix that (but that's not the only reason I want him back...)
