I take mom to the doctor today. My concerns:
It's going to be cold today - 34 degrees right now - I hope she doesn't get cold while waiting for the wheelchair van to load her.
She might catch a cold or the flu while at the doctors.
I need to remember to ask why she seems to "fall over" to the side so frequently - is it just a part of the dementia and loss of control of her body or is it inner ear problems?
I need to remember to show him her heel and see what he thinks it is - is it really a pressure sore or maybe it was a bad bruise?
I'm going to write this stuff down so I don't forget.
Dave and I and mom had a WONDERFUL time in our "new" living room last night. I parked mom beside the couch (she was looking all around) and Dave and I watched a movie while relaxing ON THE COUCH. We haven't had a real living room for nearly 2 years now - that was when Jules moved in with us after his divorce. I was the one who asked him to come live with us - wanting to be supportive of him and the kids. And I do think it was a good idea. I'm glad we did it - but till last night I didn't realize what we have been missing in space here. We had basically been living with only a kitchen, our bedroom and my studio as the space available to us. Anyway we are basking in pleasure with having space again where we can BE and relax! I want to have a party - or at least invite writers group over... Sorry but HAD to take one more photo this morning of the room - done with photomerge so it can show most all the room.
