Up early again. Awake at 4 am. Thinking about a little project I'm doing for Chloe. She is putting on a dinner theater murder mystery play later in the month for the ARC and they need 2 identical pocket size notebooks that look oldtimey for props. I've cut the paper and covers out already and I just need to bind them and draw some decoration on the covers.
Yesterday I got lots of exciting stuff from amazon. A new wireless mouse. Two acrylic paints in colors I didn't have yet for the mosaic trays - gloss black and sequin black. A stretchy 7 foot long red exercise band - I want to start back to doing my shoulder exercises again and I can't find the one I got from PT last year. 10 pounds of sushi rice. 10 pounds of hull-less sunflower seeds for the chickens. And a shock collar for Rainy. A shock collar for Rainy!? Sounds terrible. But I especially looked for one that can turn the shock off totally so you can't shock the dog even by accident. It will only do vibrate and beep. For all her incredible cuteness Rainy has a big flaw. She's a bird shit eater. She loves to eat chicken shit and goose shit. If she's not on a leash so I can pull her away from it then she's gobbling it up whenever she finds it in the backyard or at the lake. She's searching for it. We tried the collar out last evening and it worked like a charm. Rainy knows I don't like her to eat shit. When we go for a walk in the backyard without a leash as soon as I see her doing it I yell at her but she just eats it faster so it's down before I get to her. The chickens like to hang out near the back door so there is always a supply there for her to find and eat. Last night she had a mouthful moments after we got out of the house. I gave her a vibrate and she spit it out instantly. It actually came flying out of her mouth in a very satisfying way (to me). No more shit eating for the rest of the walk. Success! Rainy is now Perfect in Every Way.
Plans for the day: paint the last two mosaic trays with the new paints, go for a non-shit eating walk with the dogs, finish those 2 notebooks for Chloe, go to dinner with Chloe and Dave at a new Indian restaurant in Clarion and give her the notebooks.
