Dragonflies. Yesterday Candy and I hiked the whole Fisherman's Cove loop for the first time and there were a couple spots in the shade of the woods where sunlight was breaking through and there were dozens of little dragonflies (damselflies?) flying around and alighting on the warm rocks of the trail. I should have taken a picture. That trail loop is 5.5 miles in all but I still felt pretty good when we got back to the car. I didn't feel that good when we were climbing the hill back up from the river though. It is a 640 elevation climb which is about 60 stories high. Had to take lots of little rests. Luckily it was a coolish day yesterday. I feel good about being able to go this far. Besides the Fisherman's Cove Trail (which we finally did yesterday) there are 2 more trail sections that we've never been to at the Kennerdell Tract - the Ridge Trail Extension and the Pipeline Trail that go down to the river. By looking at a map I'm thinking that putting those 2 trails together and making it a loop it might be a 6.5 mile hike and with the same 640' elevation climb as we did yesterday. I'm feeling like now I can do it. I never thought I could (comfortably) before.

The hives came back again on Sunday - about 5 days after I took the last of the 6 day prednisone course. Just a few so far. I was doing great on the steroids - no itching at all anywhere. I have a doctor's appointment today. I'm guessing I must be allergic to something in my environment. Wondering if I'll have to do an allergy scratch test next.
