Had a full day today. Berdella and I walked a short distance at Lake Wilhelm Launch 4 - down to the water where the water lilies grow in the summer. There was no sign of them now. Very windy and cold. Afterwards we went to the Mennonite restaurant on Route 19. Such an inexpensive meal. Fish sandwich, big side salad and coffee - $12 - and it was good. Came home and walked the dogs around the perimeter of the backyard, brought them home and then took another walk on the same route and took the big camera this time. Some pictures:
Goat shed.
Taken through the beaded curtain.
Grandma's daffodils - or whatever this kind of spring bulb is called. Maybe it's a "double daffodil".
Fallen elm tree without its bark.
Deer skull.
I used the Map My Run app on my phone to get this map of the walk. I overlaid the yellow lines later to make the route more plain. I'm trying to figure out a way to get my dog walks to cover as much of our 2 properties as possible without going over the same trail/area twice. The blue dot is my goat shed and the green dot is Dave's garden. Even if I get no other exercise in a day if I take the dogs for this walk at least I can get .85 miles in. The lake is in the lower right corner. I don't usually take the dogs there on my walks. I save that for the walks we do with Dave.
