Dave took my phone with him by accident in the morning yesterday so I had no phone or internet (hotspot) a lot of the day. I went to PT early in the morning, came home and cleaned, took pictures but couldn't post them, played piano. It rained most the day. In the evening we drove out to Walmart in the rain and got a few groceries.
I'm finding so many things that need cleaning. I have a high threshold for dust and clutter it seems. I cleaned the kitchen garbage can yesterday, behind the TV (SO dusty), the window beside the TV, and today, already (up at 4) I cleaned the kitchen sink window and rearranged the rocks and odd stuff there. I feel like I MUST get the toaster cleaned (so people won't see the crumbs all over it) and all that area on the end of the counter must be cleared off and spiffed up. I could make a list here of stuff I want to do (clean) today but I won't bore this online journal with that. I already have it in my paper journal. A lot anyway. And bake a frozen pumpkin pie and do other cooking stuff. I'm sure some of my slovenly ways will be left behind somewhere - I can't do it all - the question is how much of the real hoarder me will be left behind. It's time to prioritize at this point.
Here's some pictures of the kitchen - that's where I'm mainly working today. So of course I have to take a picture every few minutes to break up my work.
This morning - slightly different arrangement of knicknacks and rocks now.
This is a close up of a pressed aluminum plate that was given to me by my Polk fellow workers when I quit to have Chloe in 1987. I keep it behind the sink and it gets splashed a lot - has lime buildup on it. I didn't know back when they gave it to me that this is a famous local landmark. McConnells Mill and the covered bridge beside it. It was a pleasant surprise to discover it. In the last few years I've been hiking there a few times. It is a beautiful place and I take way too many pictures every time we hike the creek trail near it.
Well, onward... I hear the chickens making a few noises on the baby monitor. Time to get out there and let them start their day.
