Had what felt like a good session at PT. I showed Rachel the written stuff about the x-ray that was taken. She showed me some pictures on her computer of arthritic shoulder joints and what parts were like mine. That was good to know more about. She made me a plan of things to do that would help with strengthening that shoulder. There isn't much hope that I will get more range of motion unless I had some kind of surgery but with more PT and exercise the range of motion I have now will work much better. So now I'm into the whole goal of getting stronger. According to my insurance I can have more PT so I signed on for 6 more sessions with a $25 each copay. I was thinking to myself it might have been cheaper to go to the Y and take an exercise class. But the Y does not appeal to me. And anyway - at PT I get pain management (heat and tickle unit applied), someone who seems to like to talk to me about things of interest to both of us, I can wear my street clothes (just have to remember to wear something with a loose collar), and a stretching massage at the end. It's a very friendly atmosphere. I like going there, at least for now. I'm sure I'll feel like I've graduated it at some point but for now it seems like a good idea to do it there.
My little exercise friend and exercises.
Table and window. This is my new spot to do my exercises. It'll be easier in the living room standing up. Half of Skye was captured in the picture.
Just like to check and see what might look different with a weirdo lens.
