Took a day off yesterday. We walked the dogs over to the lake in the morning. Went in the back patch of woods that is between the lake and the creek. Haven't been there for a while. There is an eagle nest in that area and we stay away in the spring and early summer. In the afternoon we went to Meadville to see Killers of the Flower Moon. It's a long movie but I was surprised when it was over - didn't seem like 3 hours and 26 minutes. Very engrossing. A movie that sticks with you for a while. The depths of greed and how people get twisted. Evil is real. After the movie we ate at the Timbercreek restaurant. I had the shrimp tacos and Dave had salmon. It was good. A little more expensive than we expected but not too bad. The building is a huge structure and has a timber frame construction. That was interesting to Dave. A lot of beautiful natural wood.

Here's some pictures using the soft focus lens from our morning's walk:

Dave's garden with our house in the background. That pile of leaves in the lower right are leaves that Dave's gathered from our front yard using his new (to him) leaf vacuum. We have many maple trees in the front yard and every year they make more and more leaves. It was getting to be too much to mulch the leaves and leave them in place. For a few years now Dave has raked them up and transported them down to the garden in a cart. A huge job. I think he's having fun running his leaf vacuum. That leaf pile is going to grow.

Our woods.

Dave at the lake.

Andy swimming - he always has to swim when we go to the lake.

I've been in a negative state lately with looking for a dress to wear to a formal wedding we are going to December. I HATE shopping and trying on clothes - trying to find something that looks good on me seems SO HARD. And then next we need to find a suit for Dave. I want to get this shopping out of the way now and not wait till the last minute. Dave is a last minute kind of guy. I have to let that go. Anyway - I had a look in my closet - in the very back - and found a really nice dress that I bought many years ago. I think I only wore it once. It will work! But it smells musty. I handwashed it this morning and it's laying flat to dry right now.

I hope it's okay after washing. Last week I ordered a dress from amazon and it'll be here tomorrow. Red velvet with ruching across the front. So that can maybe be my backup dress. Though I still need some shoes. I guess shoe shopping will have to happen now. Another thing I hate. Bunions. Wide feet. I can not wear any kind of heel. I imagine it's going to be hard to find a dressy flat shoe. But I need to change my attitude. Maybe it'll be a fun challenge to find something! Yeah! It's all in the attitude.

PT today and then lunch with Nancy. Looking forward to the lunch - not the PT.
