It rained off and on most of the day yesterday. Dave and I drove with the dogs to Clarion so he could check on one of the trail cams he has near Kossuth. It was wet but warm so not unpleasant to walk in the woods.
Deer are so beautiful and delicate. I like how the infrared light at night makes them look otherworldly. Three more pics:
They do seem to like to walk in this fashion as they go from place to place - one after the other in a line.
We forgot to buy milk recently and then we've kept forgetting it for a couple days. It was quite disappointing last night when I wanted a before-bed snack of cereal and there was no milk. We drink non-dairy milk anyway since Dave has a milk allergy so this morning I started looking online for dry powdered milk substitutes to have on hand in case this happens again. I have some vanilla flavored pea protein that I use for smoothies and used that in place of milk in the waffle mix yesterday morning. That worked out pretty good. Thinking maybe I want to start to use powdered milk substitute as much as possible. It would save on money and space in the fridge.
Today is shaping up like yesterday - rain off and on. I'm driving Roswell to work in the morning and then I might try to fit in a short hike with Rainy at Two Mile if I can. Wear a rain hat just in case. At least it's warm.
