I enjoyed the wedding yesterday. It did sprinkle rain now and then, even during the outdoor ceremony (umbrellas were put to use over the main characters) but it never poured down during any important time. I went alone so I was in a unique frame of mind. I got into my role of being a smiling observer. I knew only a few people. Mainly Candy's close family or people she had told me about. So many people were wearing my jewelry (gifts from Candy and I had recently given her a bunch). It was pretty neat to see it here and there. About half of the Turkish people could speak very rudimentary English and the others none at all. I found the only thing to do was to smile, try to gesture and radiate friendliness and love. I enjoyed that. Most the time at social events I can't hear what people are saying anyway so it was nice to let all that small talk go and get to the heart of what most conversations are - an attempt to be friendly and show caring for another. So I did a lot of eye contact and smiling. Something I'm fairly competent at.

Dave, Chloe and Johnny got back from Canada last night. We went out and had dinner at the A and C. I had a small bowl of vegetable soup cause I'd already eaten at the wedding. It was good to see them and get caught up for the last week. Chloe left for her home after dinner and Johnny will drive home later today. It will be back to normal life now with just Dave and me and the animals again...

The weather has cooled down with the rain we had yesterday. Plans for my day (after Johnny leaves): work (go to my job) in the basement!
