Your Everything Book is so beautiful.

That birdsong app sounds wonderful. If anything could ever tempt me to get a smartphone, that would be it.

Thank you!

I love having a smartphone. That's the problem, I love it too much and spend too much time on it. This Merlin app is actually something useful though!

That Merlin app is really cool. What a great way to learn the bird calls and learn how many types of birds there are around you.

I was pointing it at the woods last evening and it was telling me there were kinds of birds I had never known were there before! Some treetop birds you have a very hard time ever seeing but if I can song ID them it will be so cool!

How cool! Both the collages and the birdsong app :)

I've been meaning to download it, but most of what I want to ID happens at night...and I suspect we are going to be disappointed to find out that the majority of what we are hearing is reptiles, not birds!

Yes, I think one of the things I was hearing last evening was a frog. It didn't register as a bird.

I downloaded Merlin just last week. We had a noisy frog outside, and I was hoping they'd loaded some frog calls as well as birds. They have not. :-)

Cindy actually found the frog using YouTube, though.

Frogs and chipmunks do sound like birds!

I think they should add frogs and rodents to their database, just because people are wondering. I did find a similar app for frogs, but it is only for Australia.
