A very overcast day yesterday and wearing sunglasses while on our hike around the Erie Wildlife Refuge made it seem even darker. The pictures I took show up as lighter and brighter than I experienced it.
Lovely Skye has now become the Damn Cat. She has taken to peeing on the bed in my studio. This is the second time. I went to lie down there last night and rolled over to find it damp near the wall. I was lucky in that I have such thick covers on the bed (2 blankets) that it soaked it up before it got down to the mattress. Now I guess I will need to get a mattress cover just in case. I'll need to start shutting the gate to my room too. I got that gate back when we had Milo and he started using my room as a bathroom. After Milo was gone and I did a lot of carpet treatments it's been good in there. I let the animals in again. Now DAMNIT I'm going to have to start restricting access.
Candy gave me a holiday present of cookies, nut bread and chocolate candy yesterday. I can not be trusted around stuff like that. Ate way too much of it. Then was very thirsty. Couldn't get enough water. I feel like I gained 5 pounds in one night.
I feel like I'm complaining a lot. So what's good?
The movie we watched last night was pretty good. "55 Steps". Dave liked it especially. A true story. About the legal fight started in 1985 to change the policy of administering antipsychotic drugs to patients without their consent. Hilary Swank plays the lawyer and Helena Bonham Carter is the patient who asked for her help.
I'm the one who picks out the DVDs from netflix that we watch on The Big Screen (living room TV set). Most the time I try to find things that both Dave and I will like, though sometimes I'm guilty of getting something for just me if I can't find it streaming somewhere. Right now I have a backlog of Parks and Recreation and Death in Paradise for us to watch interspersed with the movies.
Today is supposed to be a sunny day, though still cold. Going up only to the upper 30s in the afternoon. I feel like I'd like to get out there and take Rainy to Two Mile and get some sun. Though I will have to wear the stupid sunglass goggles if I go. That puts a slight damper on it.
