Pictures from down by the dam at Two Mile yesterday. We took Rainy too. Rainy for some reason is incredibly scared of Candy. I was hoping she'd get over it as we went along. When we sat down on a log for a little break I had Candy feed Rainy some biscuits to help her get over her fear. She did eat them, while shivering. I feel like if Candy came for a visit and sat down in our house for a while Rainy might get over it. Candy must remind Rainy of some terrible person in her past. She did have a rough life before we got her.
I had another tech success yesterday. I got the straight talk home phone to work again. Had to be on the phone with someone for an hour but it's working now. What I hate about talking to tech people on the phone is that I can't understand what they are saying. They are in a room with 100 other people talking in the background and it's all garbled. I just guess at what they are saying most the time. Or I have to keep having them repeat themselves, over and over. I feel sorry for them. And sorry for me. I'm glad (I guess) that the phone is working again. Bring on the scam callers and telemarketers! Those were most of the calls we got on that phone. It was nice not having to answer it for 2 months while it was out.
I made vegan chili and corn bread yesterday for dinner. I used the beans that Dave grew in his garden and dried last year and a jar of the tomatoes that we canned this summer. Good for us.
Colder today than yesterday. I still think I'd like to go hiking with Rainy. I'll see how I feel when the sun gets up.
