Finished the lap robe I was making for Candy yesterday.
I wanted her to get it before she went for hip surgery tomorrow
so I ran it over to her house and dropped it off in the afternoon,
had a little visit with her and Bill.
Came home from that and was basically exhausted for some reason.
Napped till dark - got up for dinner and then went to bed early.
Because I concentrated on finishing the lap robe yesterday of course I put off the cleaning I needed to do.
Today - I must do it before the party for Sebby this afternoon.
No more time for procrastination.
Questions:
"What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger!" Do you believe hardship makes you stronger? If so, under what conditions and at what point is it too much hardship? If not, what does make a person stronger?
Complicated question.
Some things that don't kill you can make you weaker and you might never recover from them.
I think this saying is there to encourage people during a time of hardship - to give them a bit more strength to go on.
"Don't give up - while there's life there's hope". That's another one.
I don't feel it is a true statement per se.
There are many broken people out there.
Though going through a hardship can make you stronger to withstand future hardships.
If you're lucky enough to recover.
There is obviously some truth to the saying.
Did you do anything productive today?
Hopefully later in the day I will be able to answer yes to this.
But first I need to get off this computer
do the chicken chores and start house cleaning.
