the triangle pin loom arrived yesterday
found out last night that it's not as easy to do with my left hand as i had hoped
but i tried again this morning, fresh
and succeeded
still
i think i will put it away till i get my right hand back
i have other things to busy myself with till then

the triangle loom can do regular over-under weaving (top) or
it can weave something that becomes a mirror image of itself (side to side)
i want to do it in that bottom way
i think it looks more interesting
reminds me of a butterfly
this is just the smallest loom - 4"
but they make huge (4' or 5') triangle looms so you can make a shawl all in one piece
that would be very cool
especially if you have handspun yarns

dave is taking a break from ice fishing today
so many days out in the cold and wind
he needs a day to recoup

questions:
what is the most difficult thing you have ever had to accept?
sounds dumb i suppose
because it is so inevitable for everyone
but getting old
getting weaker
getting slower
mentally and physically
getting more useless
falling out of the loop

would you rather have all your meals prepared for you, but not have any say in the menu (outside of certain dietary restrictions), or sleep 8 hours every night but not get to choose your bedtime?
i think i would like to have all my meals prepared for me
hopefully they would be well cooked, healthy and tasty
the only thing is i wouldn't get to choose the menu each day
i'd be surprised
i'd actually love that
as a compulsive overeater it would be great to never have to go into the kitchen again
never have to be tempted by things that aren't good for me

broken wrist, getting old, triangle pin loom, pin loom, compulsive eating
