Yesterday Dave invited me to ride along with him while he went to Two Mile to check on the ice. He knew before we went that it wasn't ready yet for ice fishing but he just couldn't keep himself away from the lake in anticipation that SOON they might be fishing there. Some pictures of a snowy lake:
The dogs found a smell to check out. First Andy pees on it then Rainy does.
The boat launch is a part of Two Mile I don't go very often. I know all the trails up on the hills better. But this is Dave's favorite spot to go and he knows it well.
Just as we were getting ready to leave another ice fisherman came to check it out. He had his dog with him too. So immediately our two dogs would not listen to us anymore and had to run to him and then they wouldn't come to us. He said his dog didn't like other dogs. Thankfully he left his dog in his truck so there were no fights. I was kind of surprised that Rainy didn't listen to me at all. Usually she comes to me when I call but I guess she thought that if the Big Guy (Andy) wasn't paying attention to us she wouldn't either.
Only 12F out there this morning. Brrr. No walking in the cemetery before the meeting for me today. I've been doing better with getting my exercise on the mini trampoline lately. I'm glad I got it. It sat unused for quite a while but it's getting use now.
I plugged in the chicken coop heater yesterday. It has a thermostat that turns it on when the temp goes below 20F. I know they can survive and do okay in colder temperatures than that but I like to make it nicer for them.
Chloe wants us to meet her for lunch today. Trying a new place (for us) - the Taco Shack in Oil City.
Almost forgot the questions!
Would you rather be able to see 10 minutes into your own future, or 10 minutes into the future of anyone but yourself?
My first thought is my own future. Though I suppose this question implies that seeing into the future doesn't mean I can change the future so what good would it do? I'd prefer to not see into the future at all for anyone or myself (if I couldn't change it). If I could change it then I would love to be able to avoid the stupid things I might do.
Do you plan ahead for your dinners?
Sometimes, and then other times I just arrive out in the kitchen and look around. We have plenty of frozen dinners that I can choose from. I like to have a pot of something like vegetable soup or a casserole in the fridge as a easy no fuss meal if I don't want to cook.
