Hazel and I walked the East Sandy Creek trail yesterday afternoon with Rainy. Some pictures:

Hazel.

I like taking pictures of people taking pictures.

This is a far as we went (didn't make it to the tunnel) before we turned around. It was cold and windy.

I wanted to get a portrait picture of Hazel.

This would have been the perfect picture of me and Rainy if I had had my eyes open. Oh well.

Today's questions:
At what time does it get dark in the winter where you live?
Too early! Sunset today will be at 5:06 and dusk will fall at 5:37.

Have you ever saved an animal's life? How about a person's life?
I've probably saved many animals - took them out of the water when they shouldn't have been there (mice), took them off the road (turtles), off the dry pavement (worms and salamanders), rescued them when they were lost and wandering (dogs and cats). Usually I will take the time to save an animal's life. I usually take spiders and bugs outside instead of killing them. I do kill mosquitos, fleas and ticks. I haven't saved any people that I can think of, though I hope I've made life better for some.

Snowing today. About a half inch so far. Small crystals that don't stick to the trees very well. I have an appointment to see my oncologist this afternoon. I don't expect any new developments. I might talk to her about my recent arm aches and chest sensations. Maybe she'll have some suggestions. I like her - she's been very easy to talk to before.

The entity outside my window.

maple out my window, breast cancer, aching left arm, chest tightness, east sandy creek, hazel
