A Monday that feels like a Monday - I guess. The rest of the weekend was messed up and seemed very long.
I'm missing my Monday hikes with Candy. It was a good way to start the week. Though I need to go to the pharmacy at some point today to get meds for Dave. That's the only thing on my agenda. Thinking maybe I could walk indoors at the mall. Can't go to the woods because of the hunters right now.
Nothing else much going on. Practicing piano - the "Try to Remember" song from the Fantasticks. I always really liked that song. I love it when I have a song I recognize and like already. And there is always crochet. Plus trying to get the hang of using the new gouache paints. When to thin them and when to use them full strength.
I looked at it this morning and thought - it could be done already. A minimalistic piece. Will see what happens to it as the day goes on. I did it on a pearlescent white ground - makes it shine more than most backgrounds would.
I'm enjoying watching you-tube videos by Gerda Lipski. (Thanks
faunhaert for the recommendation.) It really seems like she does not know at all what the finished piece will be like when she starts. She just follows where it leads her. I like that.
