sunday

I remember... Sunday Breakfast. My dad always made breakfast on Sunday morning. It was something like pancakes, French toast or waffles. I would help him. I especially remember making pancakes and dribbling the batter in fancy strange shapes (animals, hats, hands) on the griddle. He taught me to wait till a couple bubbles burst before you flipped them.

I took pictures with the big girl camera and 24mm lens yesterday. Trying out carrying a big camera again. A full frame would be even heavier than my present camera (even if I got a mirrorless) and if I'm not willing to carry a crop frame then I really shouldn't get a full frame. So I'm giving myself a test. Pictures at Franklin Cemetery, the lake and Dave's garden:

This cemetery has very few full sized angels - this is one of the few.

The parents of an old friend.

Someone new.

Just a nice scene.

Lichen and stone.

The creek.

Dave checking out a tree and Rainy.

Lake view from our side of the lake.

View from the far side of the lake. We can walk over there all the time now that the eagles are done nesting and we won't disturb them when we walk under the nest.

These are the most delicious tomatoes once they are ripe. They turn orange.

Plans for my day today: Maybe hike with Rainy at Two Mile before thunderstorms get here at noon, and the usual stuff like weaving squares, painting backgrounds in my new book and piano practice.
