I missed my morning LJ writing time this morning. Got a late start and then Jan and I walked on the bike trail at Lake Wilhelm.
The question:
29 Would you rather your life have a rewind button or a pause button?
In the last year a lot of life has been on pause. So then my only other choice is rewind? I want fast forward. No, not really. Life is still good even in the time of covid. Luckily the hobby I enjoy most (walking/hiking outside) is still available to me. I don't hate wearing a mask like some people do. I do miss eating in restaurants. I do miss being able to travel. I miss seeing certain people. I look forward to the vaccine.
Johnny is better than he was. The fever is gone. He still has a bad cough. Alison is getting sick now and has a fever. Her dad is sick too. They are all taking care of each other.
Some wintry pictures from our walk this morning:
Newly fixed culvert pipe with building stones placed differently than they used to be.
The other side of the culvert. A couple stalagmites under the pipe.
Old Man's Beard vines. I've always liked that this plant has a different name in the spring - Virgin's Bower. Huh (!) I just looked it up and it has another name: Devil's Darning Needles. It can cause hallucinations. All parts are poisonous to humans. Hummingbirds like it.
Lake Wilhelm is partially frozen over.
Patch of blue.
The bridge over Long Run.
