The question:
20 What TV game show would you be really good at?
I have been sounding a bit negative when answering these questions lately. These aren't the kinds of things I think about. I don't watch game shows so I'm not very familiar with what's even out there. I'm not a person who can "think fast" so I doubt I would be good at any of them, also I would not enjoy being on television in any form.

And the other writing prompts that I'm doing for the last of the year:
19. stacks
20. a small notebook

Stacks.
I have stacks and stacks of books to read.
Three stacks of tottering novels,
2 feet high on my dresser,
a wall of books so high I can't see the mirror anymore.
A stack of ukulele books in my room,
and another stack of crochet pattern books.
A new stack starting - pin looms and weaving.
On the piano a foot high stack
of song books and practice books.
In the basement the books aren't in stacks
(well, a few are),
They are lined up on the shelves.
Books about paper making and book making,
jewelry design and jewelry making,
2 whole shelves for novels unread,
tarot books,
shelves of design ideas of all kinds from all cultures,
a shelf of childhood books that must be saved.
And then there are the stacks of National Geographics
and Smithsonians for collage
sitting here and there on the floor.
Stacks of cloth and stacks of yarn in bins.
Stacks of journals I have written in,
Everything Books 12 high now.
Stacks of gems in covered trays,
stacks of ice cube trays with partially made jewelry parts,
stacks of plastic boxes with stained glass tesserae.
Stacks of pencil boxes with colored pencils, acrylic paints and water colors.
Stacks of wallpaper books.
Don't forget the stacks of folded clothes,
Dave's and mine in the living room.
I'm tired of thinking of all the stacks.

A small notebook.
After I got into book making about a decade ago I quit buying journals or notebooks. I usually just make them. Small notebooks are so easy. Take some paper and cut it to size. Typing paper can be cut in half so you have pieces that are 8.5" by 5.5". Fold the papers in half and then your little notebook will be 5.5" by 4.25" in size. Then I get a piece of nice heavier paper for the cover. It's fortunate that I have lots of wallpaper books to find paper for that. Punch 3 holes in the spine and then I just use a very simple pamphlet stitch to sew them together with waxed linen thread. I carry a small notebook like that in my purse.

Anyway.
It's supposed to snow today. I just saw the snowplow go by spreading salt on the road prophylactically. I'd like to go to Dunham's. Chloe said Mike would like a trail cam for christmas. I have bought very few presents for anyone. No one will tell me what they want. So when I hear someone wants an actual thing I am excited to go and get it. I've been enjoying the trail cams that Dave has. Walking down back and getting the SD cards to check them each day. I couldn't figure out how to get the cams to take videos but then the grandboys were over here last night eating leftover chili and I got them to help me figure it out. So now we should get to see videos of the animals.
