The question:
7 Whether you grew up any sort of religious or not, do you, now on an adult level, still share the same faith or lack of one/attend the same church or denomination/practice the same spiritual system that you had growing up?
I remember as a little kid not wanting to pray to Jesus. I wanted to go right to the very source - to G-O-D. I still want to find the source, be the source, talk to the source, feel the everything - so I haven't changed much. I get a daily reading from Eknath Easwaran at Blue Mountain Center for Meditation and this is the quote from the one emailed today:
Where are you searching for me, friend?
Look! Here am I right within you.
Not in temple, nor in mosque,
Not in Kaaba, nor Kailas,
But here right within you am I.
- Kabir
I don't do sitting still meditation very well though. I think I do better with walking meditations, drawing meditations or writing meditations. I like to read meditation books in the morning and then write affirmations down that I can think about that day. "I am willing to... today". I am willing to see You in everyone, myself included, today.

Trying to do morning meditations with Skye on my books this morning. I guess this is Skye insisting that I see You in her.

Another nice dry day today. I'm planning to take Little Rainy to Two Mile this morning. I haven't had her out there for a while.

Oh, and here's how far along Dave's garden shed is, as of last night:

Next step: some reinforcing boards on the walls to tighten things up and then he will put boards on the roof. I am amazed that Dave can do this. Last spring there was nothing here but an overgrown lawn. I could see myself creating an artwork, a quilt or blanket, something small - table sized - but a building? Wow.

One of those things where a line turns into something that I had no idea would be there when I started.
