500 (or so) little sterling balls freshly made. I made these over the weekend, here and there I got the torch going when I had a free moment while the grandkids were here - they loved watching the little scraps of silver crumple up, turn liquid and become spinning mirror bright silver balls, then when the torch was taken away they form red hot

Your mom looks happy and excited. The way you treat her makes me so happy, I can't even tell you how much.

I do try at this point to really take good care of her - you would be surprised though at how I used to feel about her - 15 years ago I used to have all kinds of resentments towards her but since she has become childlike all that is gone. Which is a blessing and wonderful really. Thanks.

No, I'm not surprised at all. It was the same for my mom and I, and you know what? You're going to remember all the good things and the resentments aren't going to matter ever again. I'm glad you get this time with her like I had with my mom.

A friend of mine who's mother has Alzheimer's told me something very useful: You can't create new memories for her because she's not going to remember day to day, but you can create an overall feeling of well-being and care. I like that. It makes sense to me. And I see that you're creating that very thing for your mom.

I feel guilty when ever anyone says stuff like this to me cause I know I'm not all that great - I just put the best stuff on here - not the frustrations and depressing stuff but thanks anyway.

I use those silver balls a lot in my jewelry and have to replenish them periodically. I love them too. Thanks.
