Jul 1 What was the first concert you went to?
I think it was probably the Steve Miller Band at Allegheny College. I went with Big Bill Walker and 2 other people I can't remember. It was a snowy night and the sidewalks were icy. I remember Bill holding my arm to protect me from falling. I probably wasn't in much danger really but it was a nice gesture. He was a nice guy. He was first to pass away from the group of those friends. That's the main thing I remember about that night. I did like Steve Miller though and it was a good concert.
Another sunny day today. Going to walk with Jan and Berdella at Wilhelm. No piano lesson - my teacher is on vacation so I am too.
Last night we watched the movie Hair. I had the album back in the day but had never seen the play or the movie. It was good now to see the background for some of the songs. I think I will watch the stage version next - I understand it's a bit different.
