The question:
3 Do you still have toys, clothes, or schoolwork from when you were very young?
Yes. Some dusty things that are on the shelves on the wall behind me right now:

An Indian doll I got on the way out (or maybe it was coming back) when we went on a family vacation to California when I was about 6. Behind her is a $2 bill I got out of my dad's wallet after he died. And behind that is a name tag my brother used to wear to church.

A doll I had. I didn't have a Barbie. I dressed her up instead.

The cat is another souvenir from the trip out west. It is a pin made from redwood. The blue figurine in front is part of a set of flying fish that my Aunt Rene gave me. My mom's watch is on the right.

A little purple robe or coat that my mom sewed to fit my doll. The wire horse was made by my dad. I think I need to dust these shelves one of these days!

Yesterday evening Hazel and I hiked at Two Mile Run. It used to be that she wouldn't hike on the woods trails at all and would only walk on bike trails with me. Somehow things have changed. Now she's the one suggesting we go on these hikes. I'm really glad. She takes Andy and I have Rainy. We parked at the Haunted Bathroom again and followed the trail northward and up over the hill and west. Then we came back by way of Big Rock.

Got home and saw Dave was burning John's old shed that had been crushed by the tree in March. I called the grandboys up so they could come out and help too. We got the job done. I found a few things in the wreckage that I saved - parts from John's old train set. I put them on the windowsill of my goatshed.

And a bonus Rainy pic. She's starting to get shaggy. Who knows when she'll be able to get a haircut again.

john's shed, studio pix, covid-19, grandboys, 2 mile run, dad, mom, rainy, hazel, old things
