Last I wrote here was on Sunday. On Monday Candy and I biked around Lake Wilhelm. I was kind of dreading it. It is HARD to do Wilhelm (I think) so many hills to go up. I guess I don't like the sensation of having my heart pump and being out of breath. But Candy challenges me and I try to not be a wimp so we did it. This spring when I first got Barnebey I went around Wilhelm with Sebby and there were about 9 hills I couldn't make it up without walking the bike. I was discouraged. It seemed like every year there were more and more hills I couldn't pedal up. Over the years first it was 3, then 5, then 7 and then 9. BUT last Monday there were only 3 again. I was pleased. It could make a difference what time of year I try Wilhelm. In the spring my legs are at their weakest for biking and by August they are "bike strong". I was feeling so good that on Monday night I asked Sebby if he wanted to bike somewhere and he did. I said anywhere but Wilhelm - twice in one day would be too much for me. So we went to Belmar and headed towards Fisherman's Cove. About 2.5 miles out the back tire on his bike went flat. So we walked the bikes back. We saw a porcupine and 2 foxes and it was quite a pleasant walk.
It was cloudy but at this moment the sun broke through. When I started to get the camera out to take the picture it was a perfect composition. We were side by side, both in the middle of that spot of sunlight. But Sebby started to move to the left - we had just seen where the porcupine had disappeared into the bushes and he was going to investigate.
Yesterday Berdella and I walked in the morning and then when I got home Dave wanted to know if I wanted to go to Erie with him. I did. After he went to Fish USA to get a fishing rod that was on sale we went downtown and tried to find a Thai restaurant he had eaten in last year when he was in Erie for jury duty. He had an idea of what street it was on and what side of the street but not sure where or the name of it. We walked many blocks as a thunder storm was approaching (windy) and I was hoping we would find it before the rain got there. Asked different people that we passed and got different answers. We walked to where he was sure it couldn't be that far and then turned around and we walked back. The last person we asked pointed over at it - it was right there. I love spicy foods and Thai food. I got the green curry with tofu and brought some home. That will definitely be a place I will want to go back to in the future.
Like My Thai.
