This morning Jan and I biked to a place I have been going to a lot lately - a hidden picnic place about a mile and a half beyond Belmar on the Allegheny River. There is a really nice view of the river. Totally shady. It would be easy to miss - there is just a little opening in the trees beside the trail as you bike past and if you didn't look over at that moment you would go past and miss it. We sat at the picnic table closest to the river and ate a Kind granola bar and drank some water. Jan said - hey - are those turtles? There was a big flat rock down in the river and it had 5 turtles on it - sunning. So now I'm going to call this place Five Turtle Rock.
Today was piano lesson day (as usual on Wednesday) and then this evening I had a special class in music theory. Tonight I was the only student who showed up and it was great. We moved into the piano room so she could explain things right on the piano instead of on the chalk board like she did last week. I got a one-to-one hour long lesson and could ask all the questions I wanted.
