I'm looking forward to hiking with Candy today - we have missed for 2 weeks. First she was on vacation and then it was raining last week. It should be beautiful with the little green buds coming on the trees now. I'm tempted to take my big camera, though it will be more of a load to carry it. I already have a thermos that I carry (hot coco to share) and a water bottle - that seems heavy enough. There is a trail called the Ridge Trail at the Kennerdell Tract that I'm hoping to go on - we haven't been there for at least a year. If I remember correctly there will be long woodsy views and a deep cleft little valley with a rustic bridge at the bottom of it. I'm hoping too that this will be the place where I saw mountain laurel one year - though it would be too early now for it to be in bloom. For being our state flower it isn't something that you can find everywhere.
