I got a new ukulele - kind of a novelty cause it is clear plastic. But it plays nicely - a little softer sound than my wooden uke. That is the baby monitor for the chicken coop to the left of it. I like hearing the sounds of outside amplified. You can hear crows calling, lots of other birds, geese, the chickens. I think that is what I like especially about being in the tent or the goat shed in the summer - you can hear all the sounds of nature.
Yesterday afternoon Dave and I took the dogs for a walk to the Beaver Creek. A beautiful time of the day - late afternoon shadows coming across the land.
Action Andy in the creek. It was dark down in the creek valley - hard to get steady pictures. Not a good photo but I liked it anyway.
Dave.
That little blur beside the creek is Rainy. She was cute as usual, trying to keep up with Andy.
Dave showed me some big rocks with a partial cave under one of them where Indians had camped. At one time you could find arrowheads there.
Climbing back up the hill from the creek.
My knees hurt a lot and I felt very tired for some reason. Glad to get back to car. Afterwards we stopped at Arby's and got fish sandwiches and milk shakes. We got home at 7:30 and by 8:30 I was in bed. I thought I would get up and get my evening meds but I never woke up until 6 this morning. That is a first for me - sleeping through the night with no bathroom breaks. My knees still hurt this morning. Just don't feel tip top...
This morning we have white frosty ground but it should get warmer as the day goes on. Looks like a nice day shaping up.
