Ignite (yesterday's prompt).

I just did not know what to do with this yesterday. Couldn't think of anything clever to write so here it is: It has been so damn hot the last couple days. I am ready to ignite. There.

Very uncomfortable. Sweaty and sticky. Thank goodness Dave put the AC in the kitchen window this year so the house can be cooler.

Been listening to Andrew Bird "Hands of Glory" today. Oh my Soul!

Yesterday Dave and I took the dogs with us down to Zelienople so he could pick up a used Lawn-boy. No AC in the car. Rainy rides in the front, mainly on my lap or on the arm rest between us while Andy is in the back seat as he has always been. Windows open, the wind too loud to have any music playing. Just thoughts.

Today we went without the dogs in the truck to pick up bird seed at Tractor Supply, siding to finish "The Barn" at Home Depot and dog and cat supplies at Walmart, plus salad ingredients. I am making a big salad for us everyday now, with sunflower seeds, tomato, shredded cheddar, shrimp and hard boiled egg.

Today's prompt: kindness.

Kindness works so much better, for so many things. Kindness to myself. If I can't be kind to myself how can I expect it from anyone else. Kindness when training the animals to bring out the best in them. Kindness to Dave - we are in this for the long haul. Kindness to others - I don't need my conscience nagging me later. A quote from the Dalai Lama: "I'd rather be kind than right". Yeah.
