A damp and quiet day (except for the rushing of the water) by Slippery Rock Creek today. Things are much different in color from the last times (late summer, autumn, and winter) that I was here.
The steps leading from the parking lot down to the creek.
Ferns.
Steps in the woods.
Tiny leaves and other textures.
After walking the trail we went to lunch at the Log Cabin Inn. I had grilled salmon served over broccoli. It was delicious. Then we visited the Appalachian Rock Shop in Zelienople. I got one of the things I always get there - another ammonite fossil. It was a good thing that Candy drove. I had a really hard time staying awake on the drive home. Got home and went to bed for many hours. Woke at 9 pm and shut the door to the chicken coop for the night.
