bent trikes
To those in the know a bent is short for recumbent. Kathy and I did the drive up to Floral City to Trailside Bike this morning and rented 'bent trikes for an hour long ride. I loved it and I'm sure now that I'm going to order one when I get home. It wasn't Kathy's favorite way to ride but she said she would give it a 7. I'd give it a 10. I thought it was great the way my hands and arms were relaxed on the steering bars and it just seemed all around much more comfortable. Starting out was fun - didn't need to do the effort of hoisting myself up onto the bike. Can't wait to get home and get the ball rolling to order one - I hope I can get one before spring bike riding weather.
Though, that's okay. I'm here now and there are other things I'm looking forward to doing with Kathy. I will let go of bent thoughts for now. We still need to pay a visit to the beach at dawn, and also at sunset. I want to see Kathy's gallery again - there are some new artists there and Kathy has some new photos. And the family get-together will be Saturday night. I finished Eleanor Oliphant last night and started a new book on Kathy's kindle, The Secret Mysteries of the Earth. Lots to keep me busy.
