I slept pretty good last night. Made it till 5 am. I like seeing those numbers glowing in the dark on the clock instead of something earlier. Sometimes I dread bedtime - I feel like I fail at sleep. Though it does help if I have a bit of wine before bed. I wish it didn't cause I would like to give up wine at bedtime. It seems not good to be killing brain cells, especially at my age when they are dying off anyway and I have less.
Candy and I hiked on the Trolley Line trail near Cambridge Springs - at the Erie National Wildlife Refuge. I assumed it would be like a rail trail - straight and easy to walk but it wasn't. It was wandering all over the place, up hill and down. Nearly exactly 2 miles from end to end (when walking, not as the bird flies) so a 4 mile hike in all. It was cold today and about an inch and a half of snow on the ground up there. My pant legs got wet. I need to remember to start wearing my gaiters. There is just a skim of snow down here but this was about 35 miles north of here - that makes a difference with lake effect snow. It felt good to get out and do something strenuous after being in the house so much lately. We ate at Cracker Barrel in Meadville. I brought about half of my fish dinner home in a box for Dave.
The heart monitor is off now and all packed up to mail tomorrow morning. Yay. So glad to get that off me. There are numerous irritated (slightly bleeding) places on my chest and tummy where the skin broke down from the attachments. I don't know why this one was so much more irritating than the one I wore in May.
And to end my day - a listing - the last of the new pendants:
"Moon on the Water" pendant - sterling, ceramic and Peruvian blue chalcedony
