Nancy and I walked at Oil Creek Park yesterday and while going up to the outhouse I looked down and saw all this movement on the ground. I have never seen a bug like this in my life. They had little fluffy white butts with longer white tendrils and were constantly waving them. If you look at the one that is alone on the far left you can see it walking forward, moving fairly fast as it waves its butt. It's best to see in HD.

Edit: found out that they are called Beech Blight Aphids.
Anyway that was neat.
Transport. I always like taking pictures of my beloved bike sitting on the trail ready to go. This felt like that.
Nancy waiting for me to come back from the outhouse in the woods. I brought back a couple fluff bugs on another leaf to show her.
We went about 4 miles in all and sat on the same bench we sat on the last time (but last time we arrived there after coming from the opposite direction). We tried out the Spilling the Beans coffee shop in Oil City for lunch. I didn't have a pastry but I bet they are good - next time. The weather has cooled off and it was a beautiful day - sun and clouds, crispy leaves underfoot and the smells of autumn, tiny leaves falling like yellow snow flakes.
