I’d have to say Facebook is my least favorite of the three because it is restricted to people who have gone to college, and not everyone I know has gone to college or plans to. Then there is LiveJournal, which is pretty nice if you like to blog…I like to blog, I like to write in real journals for that matter…but not everyone I know likes to blog. MySpace in my opinion is the best of both worlds, plus more. It allows you to just drop a short comment on someone’s page to brighten there day. You can keep up with your best friends and acquaintances you’ve made along life’s journey. You can send them an e-mail and check the status of it. You can write a blog for everyone to see, a select few, or just for you. There are pictures and basic info. You can change the background, give all sorts of information, etc.
MySpace excites me because now that college is over and the real world has begun, I’ve moved. I think as time goes on, more of my friends will move, and I don’t want to loose track of them. MySpace offers a really easy and fun way to keep track of people. Now sure something better will probably come along…I can’t imagine something better than MySpace at the moment, but I’m sure it is in the works. I don’t know if I’d convert, perhaps. I get really excited about all sorts of stuff, and keeping track of my wonderful friends means a lot to me. Plus, I met my boyfriend thanks to MySpace, so maybe that is why I like it so much. Also, after reading a blog today, I took a moment to realize and appreciate the different personality types out there. My personality type is really into knowing what everyone has been up too, while other people may be more into focusing on what one special person has been up to, the person they love…and ya just can’t argue with that. ;)
