Remembering the Songs of Yesterday
Back when I was a total anime fan, I had more Anime songs than English or Filipino songs in my computer. Now, it's the opposite. Haha. But anyway, these were probably the first few songs I learned to love... from ANIME! Listening to them reminds me of the good times. Haha.
Most, if not all, of the songs are either pop music or sound perky, the way opening songs of most anime in Japan is... and I wouldn't want it any other way! Also, don't be shocked if the singers are mostly girls. Boy singers/vocals tend to sing OP (Opening) or ED (Ending) songs for warring (READ: war + ing), adventure or boy/shonen themed animes and mostly sing songs with a touch of rock music (and those that use string instruments) in them. :)

Digimon Adventure (Season 1) - Butterfly (Japanese title: Butter-fly) by Wada Kouji
COMMENT: Who could ever forget Digimon? The ENGLISH OPENING by the USA SUCKS!!! Only patronize this version!
Gatekeepers - Asu no Egao no Tame Ni (明日の笑顔のために; For the Smiles of Tomorrow) by Yumi Matsuzawa
COMMENT: I just realize how much the song fits the anime. It also talks about fighting for a better world. Great message, perfect match for Gatekeepers... and very very cool video.
