Stuff I Forgot to Mention About UHS and about Disney

Jun 30, 2007 02:50

Turns out I also forgot to mention a few things. Ms. Smith mentioned that I have a full schedule. I believe (I didn't ask her) that this means that I don't get a free period, unlike other students who have MAYBE. I dunno. High School Musical mentioned free period, so maybe Canada has too...

We don't have the same schedules as everyone does. Yeah, we might have a slim chance we have exactly the same schedule as somebody does, but I don't think that'll happen. Well, that's also something I'm expecting. They never told me about it though. But I believe it's like that, since we need to move to different classrooms for every class. Kinda like Advanced... only there's no Advanced in it and it's for every subject. Haha.

Also, like Coco, I'll be having P.E. every other day. Sucks, right? But it'll be the last year of me P.E. for me! Haha. I won't be choosing it next year as my elective (well, for now, I think so) when it's optional already. I'm getting fatter in Canada already. Haha. Maybe the regular P.E. will do me good. Feedback from other Canadians (also from the Phil.) tell me that school here is less stressful and more fun. Less homework, less work, less tests. Hope it's that way.

Lastly, I'll explain the schedule. Thanks to CJ for reminding me about it (by asking. LOL)! So, the actual subjects are substituted are A, B, C... on the guide since we don't have the same schedules. They're just the same as Period 1, Period 2 and so on, but here, they call them blocks. Then, Day 1 has subjects blocks ABCD, whereas Day 2 has blocks EFGH. Now, our schedule goes this way: day 1 for the 1st day, day 2 for the second day, day 1 for the third, day 2 for the fourth and so on and so forth. Holidays and no-school days aren't counted in the Day 1, Day 2 sched.

Ex. If we ended on a Thursday because Friday would have no class for some reason, and we followed Day 1 that day (Thursday), the Monday of the next week (suppose that there is class), we would have a Day 2 schedule.

So, technically, we only have two schedules to follow: unlike Xavier, where we have a different one for every day. :D Then, the exams here are kind of worse. They have a whole final exam at the end of the year, testing EVERYTHING you learn in the year, per academic subject (which means I'll be having a Spanish test), and since I'm in Grade 10 (Coco's 9), I'm gonna start having provincial exams (tests by the BC Government). That's almost two weeks of exams! Yikes! Honor's also by rank here I think. Why else would Coco work so hard and not eat out with us when he was having exams to be the best of the batch? [By the way, he's best of the batch again] That means, I too also have to be BEST of the batch to grab the gold. That seems hard, especially since I'm new and I need to get a hang on everything first. And I'm not the same as Coco's batch. I'm in a higher batch, which means I'll have to experience things first-hand, instead of consulting with Coco or if I'm lower, get help from Coco. Hay. Getting on the honor roll (more specifically first honor) seems so far away once again... just like it was in H1. Ever since I entered HS, getting good grades became damn HARD.

Have I mentioned I need to buy those Digimon DVD box sets off Amazon Japan before they run out? Only less than 10 copies are left per season. I don't think it'll sell like hotcakes though... but still. That's gonna cost lots of money. Over 100 K in Jap. Yen for one. And many others. Now I wish I could find Grander Musashi DVDs. But there are none available. VHS lang, pero mga partly sira na. I guess that's gonna go beside Encantadia now on my list of buy from the company itself... Blech. I'll need to get a job soon if I want to start some things... Hopefully it won't be too hard. Hay.

Sorry about that. Filipino poet self got unleashed again. Haha. Oo na, Luis, nerd na ako! Haha. But what I said is true, right? Which is why we should just blame the problems of life on ourselves. If you trace it very very well, all YOUR problems (unless it doesn't stem from you at all.. which is kind of impossible) come from YOU and only YOU. Sometimes doing the right thing actually gets you the problem. Haha. :D

----------------

The Disney Channel Games 2007 is tomorrow at 3:30 pm! Weeeee. Too bad they never broadcasted it in Asia. At least I get to watch it here. Then, HSM 2 is coming this July! Yey again! Last, the jumping rope commercial with the song Push It To the Limit is from the movie called Jump In!. It stars Corbin Bleu, as you all know. He already appeared in the commercial. Asia should be able to see it by now, judging that the advertisement ran on Disney before I left (I just forgot to update on this). I haven't seen it though. I only found out by research.

Also, in relation to Zanessa, they're definitely a couple. They were caught on a beach together, holding hands and stuff. Haha. I read it in a mag called J-14. But they deny it though, saying they developed relationships like brother and sister on set. Haha. And that they are disgusted when they think of it (not to the people who do... but when THEY themselves think of it). Did you also know Zac was the guy in Hudgens' music video of Say OK.

Last. Since I live in North America, I can get the latest scoop on Disney and stuff (but the CABLE here SUCKS). So I'll give a few stuff on the plot of HSM 2. But it hasn't come out yet. Highlight to see them. Spoilers (?) start here.

Sharpay invites Troy to work for this place during the summer since she wants him all to herself and wants to steal him away from Gabriella. Her plan backfires since the rest of the gang also decided to work there with Zac. They're also gonna have a talent show, and Sharpay is reminded of the humiliation of losing to Troy+Gab, so she decides to join again and defeat Troy and Gab who are going to sing again. Kenny Ortega, the director, also used his dog (who got pink highlights for the role, by the way) to play as Sharpay's dog. It's so cute. Haha. I dunno the breed, but I know it isn't a Pomeranian. Pomeranians are also cute, by the way. :D SPOILERS END.

That's it for now. I'm off to watch PCD Presents: Search for the Next Doll. (Finally! Someone posted it!)
