Neil Gaiman has arranged for the finished-but-discarded Stardust movie website to be put up under his personal domain for a little. The movie, at the very least, looks very nice. There are wallpapers. I suggest downloading any that interest you now, as the long-term availability of that site is somewhat in question.

Why had I not read any of the Stainless Steel Rat books before now? I think this man must have been some kind of inspiration for Miles Vorkosigan. Take this scene after he gets drafted and then dragged aside for spreading sedition:

xactoboy01 finished the layout on Hammers of Faith this week, so now it's off to the printer. While Blitz was impressive, I think this book is even more impressive. Bryan Lee O'Malley is awesome too. I got a sketch of Ramona Flowers inside the front cover of my copy. There are advantages to frequenting the artist's favourite comic book store for six years.

Pratchett's books are finally getting the treatment they deserve.

Rating: A+

Very good. Even those strange people that didn't like Gaiman's previous books will like this one, if you're at all disposed towards supernatural/mythological-type fiction.
