They need a rehab center for procrastination

Oh wait, it's called life. And I totally fail at it. D:

Yeah, so with a week and a half of time given to write the first draft of my review (8+ double spaced pages or die!), I decide to start at 2 AM the day it's due.

So far, I have a vague outline filled with useful comments like "Wax poetic about the merits of nanotech."

I also have a burning question about the Twilight series (yes, I totally wasted about 3 hours since getting up after 1.5 hrs sleep to go on fandom_wank, and yes, that was a totally constructive use of time because my time management skills are just terrific):

What exactly is the nature of the magical vampire freezing? Somehow when they turn into vampires, their body fluids turn to venom and they Freeze (as in they stay in the exact same physical condition)?

But the problem with that is that they can't actually Freeze 100% because that would mean they can't move (that'd be the longest game of Freeze Tag ever, wait, no vampire tagger would win...). So what exactly is it that stays the same forever? Can the venom fluid amounts change (I was thinking it'd really suck for the ones that really had to go to the bathroom before they Changed or whatever)? Can their cells change (because if they can't how do they remember things?)?

Okay, so obviously it's fantasy, calling for suspension of disbelief (esp. in this series with its apparent sparklevamps and Scottish baby wolflovers or whatever), and most novels' ideas don't stand up to ridiculous overanalyzing. But that really bothered me. And hey, it's 5 something in the morning, I'm obviously not sane and am only awake due to the magic of Clorox! caffeinated beverages...

Okay, back to horrible outline making. Gods I hope I don't die today. <---also melodramatic at 6 in the morning.

ETA: Wooh, about 4 pages in (.5 way!) and still about 1 section to go. Then I just need to edit (as in, make the paper have complete, coherent sentences instead of idea fragments jammed together). I just hope that I can do the whole making real sentences thing in less than 4 hours while my head feels like it's made of slog and my uterus is reminding me it doesn't need to have an super death baby in it to make me feel like hell.

But still, not too bad. We'll see how I feel about it in another 3 hrs.

real life, failz
