A little bit of DEATH METAL!!!
Last night was by far one of the most brutal shows I have ever been too. Everything from my neck down is hurting at the moment but it was fucken awesome. There were a few times where I thought I wasn’t going to make it out of there alive. Here is what I remember for the most part:
Psyopus started the show and what an amazing guitarist these guys have. He has his own style too and knows how to work the crowd. With out him this band would of sucked balls. Good opener!!!
Job for a Cowboy was up next and nothing too wild is going on in the crowd. This band sucks. They sound like everything else and they got no stage presence. You know, stepping on the speakers and giving the devil horns to the crowd while looking at everyone like you are the fucken shit doesn’t make you metal you stupid assholes. And the whole band but the drummer was doing it at the same time which makes you fucken gay. Go die!!!
Red Chord came up next and made up for that shittiness that was Job for a Cowboy. These guys did nothing special. But I liked them and got into it along with the rest of the crowd. This is when the body surfing started and I started making my way to the front. I noticed that this band picked funny topics for songs and the vocalist would introduce them like this: “hey do you guys like (insert topic), well this song is about (insert topic)”. For example, hey do you guys like Die Hard? Do you guys like Bruce Willis? This song is about fucken Bruce Willis!!!! They also had a song about sandwiches and ravioli. LOL
I fucken made my way to the front!!!
Behemoth is set to play next and I was very excited. I made friends with some girl to my left. Yes I used her, I needed some of her water and she was very sexy. The guy on my right was big and fat so we agreed not to let anyone through. The drummer from Behemoth set up a whole new drum set from the bottom up and he warmed up for about 10 minutes. Holy shit did that get me excited! Then they started playing and let me tell you these guys put on a fucken metal show. They are on a mission and they look scary as fuck. The way they introduced songs and made the crowd almost riot was amazing. They fucken hate Christianity!!!!!!!!!!!! This is where everything got out of control and I kept getting slammed against the barricade. Oh it was brutal. They sounded great and they knew how to get the crowd going. “Me and my companions went to Jerusalem not too long ago and we walked up Golgotha. We didn’t feel nothing. No fucken miracle happened! But we did write a song about it.” The security started to get uncomfortable cause I have a feeling they are all Christians. Oh well fuck them!!! That was a fucken metal show. I was in so much pain afterwards and my sweat was dripping down like water from the heat. Oh yeah i got their setlist!
When Behemoth was done and both myself and that chick were just exhausted from head banging we looked at each other and said. “Holy shit Cannibal Corpse is up next”
Cannibal Corpse was amazing. Corpsegrinder has the thickest neck ever and I can’t believe how he can perform those vocals better live than on the album. He can keep that growl going too. Wow!!! I love how they introduce songs. “This song goes to all the women out there. So, show us some tits!!! FUCKEDDDD WIIIITTTTHHHHH AAAA KKKNNNNIIIFFEEEEEE” Some guy kept throwing stuff at Corpsegrinder so he basically told him that he could see him and he would kick his ass if they ever crossed paths. Dude that guy is huge; I wouldn’t want him after me. Plus his name is Corpsegrinder!!! What the fuck are you thinking? I kept growling “Corpsegrinder” over and over again at him just because I love saying that word. What a cheesy name!!! They played a lot of the songs I personally enjoy it was pretty awesome. Here is what I remember from the setlist:

they played a few more songs but I don’t remember what they were.
Before they played “hammer smashed face” they announced that it was their last song for the night so I got really sad cause I wanted to hear “stripped, raped, strangled” but right after “hammer smashed face” they went into “stripped, raped, strangled” and I was soooo happy. The bass player Alex jumped down from the stage to shake our hands which was awesome! What a kool guy and an amazing bass player. The lead guitarist was fucken FAST. I mean really really really fucken fast. And he could shred. AWESOME BRUTAL SHOW!!!! Not being able to move my neck right now is totally worth it.
