wooohoooo.. thanks. just got a bunch of Zeppelin stuff a bit ago. do know some Queen but only the standard stuff.. We Are the Champions/We Will Rock You/etc. also know some Dylan but his voice kinda annoys me for some reason. and every time i think of him, i have to think of my friend Stu, who can do this awesome/hilarious impression :)

anyways.. ok. thanks again... i am DLing away (feeling guilty for doing so, but oh well).

well, really ALL Zeppelin is masterful... :) Heavily inspired by the American Blues... Seeing as you're a singer-songwriter yourself... Simon & Garfunkel, James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Janis Ian, Bill Paxton (more folky, but still great), Loudon Wainwright III, (and his son Rufus Wainwright, not sure if you know of him, he's around today. Elton John said he's the best singer songwriter alive today. Ever hear of Sondre Lerche? He's amazing, too! From Norway. But current as well), John Lennon's solo stuff, Bob Marley, Emerson Lake & Palmer (they do a bunch of "classics" - the Hoedown, arrangements of Brahms' stuff, etc), Crosby Stills Nash (and Young)... again. I could go on for days. jeez, how'd I get back to writing another list here!? :)

woohoo.... thanks so much Dan :) i got some Zeppelin stuff last night... already know a good bit of James Taylor stuff (both of my parents like him a lot), know a few songs by Simon & Garfunkel (but not enough), i do know of Rufus (love the Hallelujah cover) but not anything by his dad, and i do really like Sondre Lerche a lot... i have both cds :) umm.. my parents also really like Crosby Stills & Nash (and occasionally Young, right?) they have some of their records (as in vinyl.. hehe). and thanks for all the recommendations in the other comment too :) wooohoooooo
