[RL with Shia & Mewtwo]

Spike breathed in the not-so-fresh air as he hopped off the dingy of a boat and onto the walk leading into the very heart of Japan. It'd been awhile - at least since the '80s or so - since he'd been here. They'd gotten even shorter.

He walked the streets, looking for a vaguely familiar face.

Shia walked through the crowded market, the belt Mewtwo had given her strangely heavy and awkward-- it hung sideways at her hips, the three Pokeballs dragging it crooked. She'd never worn a trainer's belt before-- what a strange device. But she tried to ignore it and focus on her shopping. The city felt strange and yet wonderfully familiar; almost like her own world, in a way.

She hesitated for a moment, digging in her coin purse to see how much money she had left. It wasn't much. She frowned to herself.

Spike was alone. He had to keep to the shadows and alleyways and avoid the sodding sunlight shining everyfuckingwhere. There was a bounce of curl and lace, and he looked at the opposite end of the alley he was moonlighting in. Huh.

Quickly walking the distance of the alley and knocking away rubbish bins and hands out for a penny or a pint, Spike caught onto the elbow of the girl - Shia, he remembered.

"Hello, love."

Shia gasped and turned quickly to look, eyes wide. "I-- o-oh, um, hello."

"Yes," Shia said quietly, trying not to look as afraid as she was (but failing.) "Spike-san?"

Spike grinned around his fangs. "Yeah, s'right!"

Shia tensed slightly, she wasn't sure why. She knew well what he was. "W-well, I... I should be going..."

"I don't think so, love," Spike said, tugging her closer.

Shia tried to pull back away, hand wavering at the heavy belt. "Let me go," she said, hating the way her voice shook.

"Give me three good reasons why I should," Spike said, almost purring as he pushed the curls curtaining Shia's neck away.

Shia pulled away more sharply, finally grabbing a Pokeball off the belt and holding it out of sight. Or, well, what she hoped was out of sight. "Please," she said, keeping her voice more even.

Spike tightened his hold on her arm, not letting her escape. "You're a wriggly little nibblet," he said with a hint of a smile. "I like it."

Shia glanced down the alley and suddenly realized a major flaw in her guards-- the alley was too narrow for any of them to fit and still be able to move. Well. She glanced up at him, suddenly feeling very helpless and hating the feeling completely. "Really," she said, not a real question so much as something she hoped would delay... whatever he was planning to do.

Spike grabbed her other arm, making her drop whatever that round thing was she'd been holding, and pulled her closer, chest-to-chest. He smiled down at her. "Really."

Shia pulled back away from him before she even thought about it, fighting what little she could. She could at least try. "Let me go."

Spike ran after her, not letting her get far before he wrapped his arms around her waist and dragged her back into the shadows of the alley. "C'mon, don't you want to have some fun with ol' Spike?"
