Surfacing

This is vintage Atwood. Compare it to "Handmaids Tale" and yup, she hates men. Compare it to "Cat's Eye" and yup, she hates women. Compare it to "Oryx and Crake" and sure enough, she hates all of humanity...
I can't tell if the protagonist is crazy or not - she's certainly dissociated at the beginning of the novel. I'll let it 'sink in' for a while before I decide if I like it or not. Then again, Atwood often hits me that way, and I keep picking up her novels, so I probably like it... :)
