Oliver, the computer cat
Oliver's favorite place to be when either of us is on the computer is either on a lap or lying beside/in front of the monitor. If he feels he is not getting enough attention, he knows the perfect ways to get it:
Lay on top of hands so they cannot help but pet him
Reach over and push random buttons/keyboard keys
Sit in front of the monitor and chase the cursor/whatever happens to be moving
He kept trying to get on Art's lap or play with Art's game control, so Art introduced him to a new game to distract him - the laser pointer. Rocky ignores the red dot - it cannot bring him food but the human controlling it can. Boris watches the red dot - as long as he can see it he does not need to chase it. Oliver is a chaser. He was completely dizzy by the time Art got done with him, but he couldn't stop trying to chase the dot. Art finally ran it up under the couch and turned it off. Oliver just spent 30 minutes lying in front of the couch waiting, sometimes even putting his nose under the cushions.
I foresee hours of amusement in the future. And yes, I am posting quite a bit about the cats. Right now they are taking up lots of time. I have other things tumbling around in my head. The cats are the easiest thing to post about right now.
