The boys

The twins are so big now. They crawl and climb stairs, they have started eating solid foods. Nothing huge. Just bread, avocado, bananas, cheese. Stuff like that. They talk so much now too. I taught Drew how to say Stacey. Clay won't say it, but Drew says Deezee. I wasn't sure if he knew that it meant me until yesterday morning. When I walked into the house, he was in his bouncy chair in the doorway. He was twirling himself around and when he saw me, he smiled so big and said, "Deezee." I think my favorite thing the twins do is when I am sitting on the floor with them and they both start climbing on me. They grab a hold of my shirt and pull themselves up until they are standing on my lap.

Matt is getting so big too. For anyone who met him before, you would not believe how big and mature he looks now. He is no longer a little tank. He slimmed down and got tall. His cheeks are still huge, so I am happy about that. He just says the funniest things. The other day Maureen was outside and Matt went out there and said, "Mommy, I want to go to school.." She explained to him that it wasn't time to go yet. That it was too early. He then said, "I am so frustrated." She said he said it as clear as a bell. She wondered how he knew that word and, more importantly, how to use it in a sentence. When she went in the house Blue's Clues was on and they were talking about being frustrated and what it means. heh..

Last week I came out of the bathroom and Matthew was standing near the door watching TV. I closed the door but it wouldn't shut. Just then, Matthew started to scream. I had closed his fingers in the door. I checked his fingers and they were fine. Just two little indents. He cried and cried. I felt so bad. After he calmed down he came over to me and said, "Stacey, aren't you going to say your sorry for closing my fingers in the door?" I bit my lip, trying not to laugh and I said, "Oh yes Matthew. I am so sorry. It was an accident." Later I found out that Maureen had done the same thing to him the day before. Poor Matt. We will have to be more aware of where his fingers are when we shut doors from now on.

Well, off to get ready for work. Ciao!
