Tonight was the annual interfaith service, where rabbis and rectors from all over my neighborhood come together to celebrate love and the commonality of humanity. Spent today cleaning. I know my guests won't notice the dust on the side of the toilet, but it makes me more relaxed to be a reigning ruler of a clean space. It also makes the event more sharply anticipated.
