Yay! thegr81mikal is among us! Very soon, there won't be a single friend of mine who isn't on LJ. And what a sweet, sweet day that'll be. I'm already having the hardest time remembering to notify non-LJ friends of parties and other such gatherings. Rapunzal sent me a "how the hell have you been?" email the other day, and I was momentarily surprised she didn't know all that was up with me. Oh right, you're not on LJ! Duh. She is on Myspace, which I suppose I'll have to join. I haven't gotten much out of Friendster, but I haven't really wooed anyone . . . I must take some decent shots of my current Buddhist Student look and upload those before it's fair to go hunting.
I could definitely use a cute lil' fling. I'll get depressed if I think about how long it's been since I kissed a non-Coyote on the lips, and rather nauseous to remember who that was. I've been thinking a lot about the 3 or 4 female friends who I think are kinda into me, but I feel like my usual oafish-around-anything-female self. I think I'd rather bumble and stumble and fuck up with some cute poly stranger, then sleep with friends when I feel more suave. Well, I'm also wary of sleeping with friends because my eX was a really good friend. And while the friendship intensified during the relationship, when we broke up I lost a lover and a great friend.
As lame as it sounds, I'm kinda hoping to at least flirt with someone at Midsummer or Picnicon: I wouldn't want to go to BiCamp feeling as gawky as I do right now.
Oh, yeah: I'm planning on going to BiCamp again this year. Labor Day Weekend, car camping (AKA very urban-like camping, with showers and toilets and you can drive right up to your tent spot) clothing-optional swimming hole. Flirting and fun but not everyone is there to hook up: some people even bring their kids. Straight and Gay people welcome, as long as you aren't squicked by us goddamn fencesitters. Close to Northampton, so you don't have to even bring food if you really don't want to.
I have to tell Bob about BiCamp in a little while. She spent a year or so dating the guy who gave her a ride from NYC, I think she'd like to go again.
I'd really like to go to an amusement park before the kids get out of school. Anybody want to play hooky from work and go midweek? I can get half-price tickets to Six Flags.
I have to go hunt down my sketchbook, there's something I want to find.
