Elvis Costello & the Attractions + the Police
I have to admit, I'm more of a Costello fan than I am a Police fan. The only reason I went to the concert was because I knew the hit Police songs and Costello was the other drawing factor. That said, the Police do put on a good show, I was glad I went. As I sat there during "Roxanne" with the crowd singing along, I realized how much I love concerts and I was glad I went.
My only huge complaint was the length of the show. Costello played for 60 minutes while the Police played for 90 minutes. The last concert I actually paid for (Springsteen) played for over 2 1/2 hours - well worth it. So why a band with so many songs can't play for more than 90 minutes was a disappointment for me.
The highlight was Sting coming onstage to help Costello sing "Allison" - that was very very cool. I'm not a huge fan of the song, but definitely cool to see the two singing it.
