so facebook has a new feature where you can enter your status so your friends will know that you're "at home" or "in the library." also, you can now use facebook with your cellphone... it was when i was activating my cellular facebook that i realized that i'm completely creeped out by facebook. ahhhh. i need a facebook break! but who am i kidding. i will be back on in probably less than 20 minutes. whatever.
i'm about to decompress about the 2006 congressional election, so you really don't need to read it. this is your disclaimer.
so i started doing some research for this paper i have to write. conveniently it's about nc district 11 and my predictions about the outcome of the congressional election in 2006. so the more i research, the more and more distraught i get. now i'm reading about charles taylor and heath shuler. so i have to choose which one i think will win. well, let's see... charles taylor is corrupt, linked to abramoff, bad environmental policies, dirty campaigner... heath shuler is inexperienced, failed football player, currently not residing in the district. umm, so it sounds like a toss up, but i'm going to say that charles taylor will win, and that does not make me happy. it's going to be too easy to be focus on the fact that he was bad qb for the redskins, he's not living in the district, he doesn't care about, and divert attention from the issues. not living in the district is probably his biggest setback. he may be connected in knoxville and swain county, but fat lot of good that's going to do for effing transylvania county. and people across the district (excluding asheville) will probably just soak up charles taylor.
so sorry about that. i seriously got a little upset today in lecture. i think i may be too sensitive to do politics. i get so emotionally involved in everything. i was upset this morning in lecture while learning the ins and outs of the primary system in nominating our presidential candidates. it made me really sad.
