I'm officially, completely, all the way divorced.
I had received the call thursday in which the judge had already signed it and all that- but he was in Rome, not Utica, so I could've picked it up there- but I chose to get it in Utica, because the absolute last part of the divorce was filing it with my county clerk... Oh yeah I have to mail it tomorrow- but that's nothin. :-)
I celebrated Thursday and Friday- and it was just a complete blast. It felt a little strange simply because it's just been sooooo long for everything- First waiting a little over a year to see if her love would return and watched my love fade completely, doing the separation route (Cost $5!!! haha) , waiting another year and change, then filing everything, waiting, filing more, waiting more, final filing, wait 8 weeks...
I had come to the realization on my Myspace blog that I'd been single for 1000 days or longer- but it was great.
Best part was last Friday when I shared with a former colleague that teaches at another school that I was officially all the way divorced- she echoed my statements that for many women, if they hear you're only separated, they think you'll end up back with your wife and such... I knew that's what I thought most women thought- but hey- its nice to be right I shpose!!!
I just feel relieved that it's all done...
Now, I will go write a totally different blog on Myspace. I'm such a dirty whore...
